Conservation Starts with Us..
But We Can't Do It Without You
We work to conserve South Carolina's special places in perpetuity. (That’s forever!) But as our State undergoes explosive growth, we're in a race against time.
Our lands and waters are more than shades on a map. They're family farms. Historic battlefields. Untouched forests and miles of uninterrupted scenic rivers. They're the sources of clean water your family drinks, the places your grandchildren will explore, and the rural areas that anchor our idea of who we are.
That's why we need your help. Since 1992, we've permanently protected over 49,000 acres, but our work doesn't stop. Donate today to help us protect what makes our beautiful home truly special.
“Our mission is to conserve the natural environment, cultural and historical sites, and productive lands that anchor our community’s sense of place.”

The Lord Berkley Conservation Trust has permanently protected over 76 square miles of pristine rivers, productive farms, and irreplaceable forests. That's more than 49,000 acres, including over 40 miles of river frontage that will be preserved forever.
But South Carolina is growing. From bumper-to-bumper traffic out of Summerville to an unprecedented loss of farmland, the signs of land use change are all around us. And the pressure has never been greater. We need your help to ensure we can continue to protect our important lands and waters.
Every donation you make means:
- Critical wildlife habitat is preserved forever.
- Historic sites are saved for future generations, and
- Green corridors make our communities more livable.
But the window to save our irreplaceable landscapes is closing.
Protection needs to happen now.
